How To Score

  • Complete a throw through the hoop from the baseline: 1 point
  • Complete a pass across the goal line: 2 points
  • Complete an alley-oop: 4 points

There are 4 players on each team.

Each team has three tries to score.

All four players begin a play at the baseline. One player must hold the ball behind it while the other three release and attack the goal. Players can go anywhere on the field beside the passer, who cannot move past the baseline.

The offense has three tries to score. If the offense scores, then the other team gets the ball. If a pass is incomplete, one of the three tries is exhausted. The ball is then returned to the passer and players resume action; they do not need to return to the goal line on the second and third try. If a pass is intercepted, the other team takes the ball and the offense does not get their second or third tries.

The offense gets one point for completing a throw through the hoop from the baseline, two points for completing a pass across the goal line and four points for completing a pass to a player who catches the ball mid-air and dunks it. Alley-oops can be completed after multiple offensive players possess the ball, but they must catch it in the air and pass it to another teammate before touching the ground and the play must conclude with a dunk. If an offensive player catches the ball past the goal line and lands on the ground, one of the three tries is exhausted.

The game is played with a mini dodge ball. The hoop is the size of a regulation basketball with an inverted net and the bottom of the rim sits at 7 feet. The field is slightly longer than a basketball court.
